Arley Armfield—Trump accuses UK Labour Party of “blatant” foreign interference.
Several allegations have come from Donald Trump and the Republican party of “foreign interference” regarding next month’s election after a post on LinkedIn from Labour’s Head of Operations Sofia Patel.
The post on LinkedIn was an ad for Labour staff in which 10 places were available to travel to the US to campaign for Trump’s opposition – the Democrats.
The LinkedIn ad allegedly offered housing and other perks; however, Labour have publicly come out and insisted that this ad was purely voluntary.
Unsurprisingly, Trump has filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission and has branded the neo-liberal Labour Party as “far left” and they are pushing Harris’s liberal agenda.
Historically, this is ironic as during Trumps turbulent first term as president in 2016, his former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo privately admitted his party would do “their level best” to make sure Corbyn does not win the 2019 election.
All the commotion regarding this scandal is all very bittersweet for true leftists, as both main parties in the US and UK continue to quarrel over how they should run their Thatcherite policies rather than anyone combatting true inequalities after the left were successfully stamped out by the establishment following Corbyn’s second election loss in 2019.
The consensus amongst the 4 main parties from the US & UK is to continue to sell arms to Israel, and push austerity measures amongst the working-classes whilst the traditionally left-wing parties follow the theme of political polarisation towards the right.
