Aron Tasnadi—Robert Kennedy (RFK) expressed his views on vaccines and fluoride in the water ahead of his potential nomination as US Health Secretary.
His views have been widely dismissed and disproved by academics and experts across the planet, calling into question whether RFK’s views border on conspiracy.
The position of US Health Secretary would give RFK access to departments such as the FDA and a trillion-dollar budget.
In the past Kennedy has expressed a belief that “autism comes from vaccines”, and while RFK said he is not anti-vaccination, this belief alone could be detrimental to the US.
Autism diagnosis rates have increased within the past decade by 175%, however, this is not linked to vaccines but rather to an increased awareness of Autism and greater access for low-income households to mental health facilities since they are no longer purely privatized.
RFK has said: “If vaccines are working for somebody, I’m not going to take them away.”
While his not removing the option of getting vaccinated remains positive, his lack of understanding of how they work remains concerning for the health of the American Population.
Kennedy on X said: “The Trump White House will advise all US water systems to remove fluoride from public water”.
This comes from RFK’s previously expressed view that fluoride in drinking water causes issues such as “IQ loss”, bone cancer and arthritis.
Fluoride has become part of the average person’s drinking water since the 1960s and has shown only links to dental and cavity health while providing no statistics for causing the previously mentioned health issues.
Though these views remain worrying for the future of the US Health Department, it must be understood that RFK has previously experienced health problems including brain-eating parasites, which left him with 17% less of a brain for the job of US Health Secretary.
